Clarksville, Ark.- Amanda Bohon scored a pair of goals in the second half to help the Lady Eagles past Schreiner University 4-1 on Friday in American Southwest Conference play.
Ozarks (5-5-4, 4-5-1) raced out to a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals by Chelsea Coleman and Roxanne Moody. Coleman scored in the first minute of the match to give Ozarks momentum. It was Coleman’s fourth goal of the season. Heather Dryden received the assist. Moody scored her third goal of the year on a pass from Bohon in the 41st minute. With a 2-0 lead at halftime, Schreiner (3-9-1, 2-7-1) cut it to 2-1 in the 56th minute. But Bohon, who scored the game-winner last Saturday, quickly gave Ozarks a 3-1 lead 43 seconds later. Dryden received the assist. She scored her final goal and her fourth of the season in the 66th minute on an assist from Kate Schoenhals.
Ozarks had 25 shots, while holding the visitors to just five. Dryden, Coleman and Kristi Gordon all had four shots apiece. Lori Langman started in goal and had two saves.
Ozarks will host Texas Lutheran University on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in what is designated as “Senior Day.” All four seniors will be recognized prior to the men’s match at 3:00 p.m.
