Bartholomew Becomes All-Time Hit Leader

Clarksville, Ark.-Senior outfielder Kara Bartholomew became the school's all-time hit leader after going 1-for-3 against East Texas Baptist University in the second game of Saturday's double-header.

<#IMAGE:1#>Bartholomew now has 146 career hits, breaking Shannon Rainbolt’s former record of 145. Bartholomew’s single in the opening inning on Saturday put her in front of Rainbolt, who played from 2002-2005. Bartholomew also owns the school stolen base record (59). She has only been thrown out five times in her career. The 5-7 native of Hot Springs ranks fourth in the ASC in batting (.448), fifth in hits (39) and second in stolen bases (14). This season she has had 12 multiple games, including seven games with three hits. She has hit safely in 20 games and has scored 18 runs thus far. She is a two-time All-Conference performer and played at Lake Hamilton High School.
