Clarksville, Ark. -- Award-winning author Anna Myers will lead a three-day workshop entitled "Writing Your Novel" as part of the University of the Ozarks' Community Education program.

The workshop sessions will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Mondays of Nov. 7, Nov. 21 and Dec. 5. The enrollment fee is $125 for the workshop, which will be held on the U of O campus. The first session will focus on finding your subject, narrowing your focus, plotting your story and writing the all important first page. Between session one and session two, class participants will write up to 10 pages to bring back to class to be critiqued during session two. Session three will focus on more critiquing as well as discussion of strategies for finishing your novel. After the last session, each participant will get to leave up to 20 pages of their novel with Myers, who will e-mail a personal critique and suggestions to each writer.
