Clarksville, Ark. --- Arkansas nature photographer and author Tim Ernst will share some of his more recent outdoor photographs during a presentation at University of the Ozarks at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10.
The event is part of the University’s 2006-2007 Walton Arts & Ideas Series. For ticket information, call 479-979-1346. According to Ernst’s Web site, he has been “hiking, driving and crawling around the wonderful Ozark Mountains for most of his life, preserving the images he sees on film for everyone to enjoy.” His photographs have appeared in hundreds of national, regional and local publications, including National Geographic, Audubon, Backpacker, Outside, and Outdoor Photographer. He is the author of numerous hiking trail guidebooks, including Arkansas Hiking Trails, Ozark Highlands Trail Guide and Arkansas Nature Lover’s Guidebook. He also has been writing his popular Cloudland Cabin Journal since 1998. Ernst is the founder and president of the Ozark Highlands Trail Association and was a recipient of the national “Volunteer of the Year” award by the American Hiking Society.
