The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.
Despite this, Ozarks is aiming to roll out financial aid packages within two weeks of receiving FAFSA information.

Fall Commencement Set For Dec. 16

University of the Ozarks will award bachelor degrees to 19 graduating seniors during its 2017 Fall Commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 16.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Munger-Wilson Chapel. There will be a reception for the graduates and their families and friends following the ceremony in the Rogers Conference Center.

Matt David, a 2001 Ozarks graduate, will serve as the keynote speaker for the fall Commencement. David is a senior advisor for Edelman, a global communications and marketing consultancy firm.

After graduating from Ozarks, David went on to earn his juris doctorate with honors from the University of Tulsa. He has held senior communications positions on the last four presidential campaigns, and led communications strategies for the state of California, global Fortune 500 companies, technology companies, celebrities, and politicians. As a senior strategist for the western region for Edelman, his areas of focus are crisis communications, public affairs, technology, and corporate communications. Originally from Tulsa, Okla., David currently resides in Los Angeles.

The students’ welcome will be provided by graduating senior Ellery Mayleben, a general studies major from Ann Arbor, Mich. Obed Gonzalez, a senior education and art major from Clarksville, will present a scripture reading and the University Chamber Singers will also perform.

The Commencement ceremony will be shown live on the University’s Facebook page.
