Friends & Neighbors

Join us

friendsphoto2As a proud and contributing member of the Johnson County community since 1891, we value our role as an educator, employer and leader and desire to facilitate open communication and cooperation with all. We treasure our relationships and engagements with friends, neighbors, and visitors and are committed to partnering with you to develop programs and initiatives, resolve issues, champion progress and build successful relationships.

We invite you to take full advantage of everything we have to offer. We hope you’ll find a way that you can be involved in the life of this University. We also invite you to contact us if you know of opportunities for us to be more involved in the community.

We hope you will join us on campus soon and enjoy one of the many enriching, informative and entertaining events we have to offer. You can attend productions from our award-winning University Theatre, concerts by our accomplished music ensembles, sporting events featuring our competitive Eagles athletic teams, religious services led by our campus ministries, and workshops presented by our academic programs. We also host monthly art exhibits by regional and national artists, lectures by prominent public figures and scholars and other performing arts events. There is no cost for admission for most of these programs and events.

There are a number of resources and opportunities that are available to you as friends and neighbors. Our library, Campus Perks coffee shop (that proudly serves Starbucks coffee), and the University bookstore are all open to you. We also have facilities available to rent for meetings and conferences, as well as a beautiful venue for weddings and receptions.
