Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF I, II, III) Student Grants (aka CARES Act, CRRSA Act, and ARP Act). Reporting Requirement:
- How HEERF student grants were distributed to students
- A Committee of 3 was appointed to review all applications from students whom are eligible for funding
- Each application is reviewed on a first-come-first-serve basis, reviewed for eligibility and funding for hardship in the following categories: food, tuition, healthcare, child care/dependent care, housing, and other

- Funding was available in a retroactive manner-all expenses and aid is evaluated for the period of March 14, 2020 to present.

- The above detail on this webpage details the information released to all eligible students via an email drip campaign
- Title IV eligible students were emailed with a link to the application for the CARES Act and CRRSA Act funds along with instructions
- When the ARP Act came into effect all students regardless of status became eligible, therefore emails to all students were sent out in an email drip campaign requesting applications.
- Messaging to students has been continuous–campaigns began on April 30, 2020 and have remained on-going.
- ‘Reach-out’ phone campaigns were deployed on May 21, 2020 and have been on-going, to reach-out to students whom had not opened emails related to the CARES Act and CRRSA Act.
- Documentation the institution continues to pay all of its employees and contractors during the period of any disruptions or closures to the greatest extent practicable, explaining in detail all specific actions and decisions related thereto, in compliance with Section 18006 of the CARES Act
- U of O continues to employ and pay all Full-Time Faculty and Staff
- No layoffs have been made
- No furloughs have been made
- All contractors have been payed as per contractual parameters
- Part-Time essential personnel continue to be employed
- Work-study was made available to students within allowable budget limits
- U of O continues to employ and pay all Full-Time Faculty and Staff
- OMB control number 1801-0005 requires grantees under section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to publicly post certain grant information on the institution’s primary website as part of the reporting requirements under section 18004(e) of the CARES Act.
U of O emailed 1,312 eligible students who could apply for the HEERF I, II, and III funding.
