McMurry (28-16) jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first on four hits off Ozarks starter Curt Dixon. Ozarks (24-21) got one run back in the bottom half of the inning. John Glenn led off the inning and eventually scored on an RBI single by Robby Finnell. Ozarks totaled three hits in the inning. However, the Ozarks’ offense wouldn’t be able to muster any more runs as McMurry starter Nick Schafer went the next seven innings and allowed only three more hits. He had six strikeouts and moves to 10-1 on the year. The second inning would be another productive inning for McMurry. They scored four runs on four hits to increase their lead to 7-1. Meanwhile, relief pitcher Robby Finnell pitched seven and one-third innings and allowed only two hits to finish out the game. He struck out four. Dixon (6-4) received the loss. The Eagles collected six hits, with Finnell finishing 2-for-4. Todd Koch (1B) and Finnell (P/HD) made the all-tournament team.
