From the first semester of your first year at Ozarks, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with faculty and advanced media students in a program designed to prepare practitioners for the world of production, from concept to deliverables.
Media Production is for students with a passion for storytelling and communicating with effective messages and a talent for expressing themselves through audio and visual media. This preparation provides as solid foundation on which to build careers in corporate, independent, educational, and non-profit media fields.

Examples directly from the program at Ozarks include: film directors, film producers, writers for film and television, as well as sports and broadcast news professionals.
Students also pursue graduate studies.
RTV 1024: Media Production I
Students are introduced to the fundamentals of field and studio production in this core course designed to provide practical knowledge and skill in preparation for a career in video media production. Topics covered include: Writing, Videography, Audio, Lighting, Editing, and preparing media files for television and web distribution.
RTV 2063: Media Writing
A course focusing on skills for planning and writing for broadcast media, multimedia, and film.
RTV 3303: Radio Production
Students learn all about one of the greatest inventions to serve the public good in all of history and they learn to produce their own live radio show on the university's station, KUOZ 100.5 as well as podcasting their show on a web platform.
