All of my life, I have wondered how change really occurs. As dynamic beings we change every second of everyday. How does the environment (cultures, traditions, institutions) encourage change and most important are humans moving towards increased well-being or resting in a place of complacency? While reading Authentic Happiness, I analyzed and deeply thought about what I believe that people are truly searching for, and concluded it’s not superficial things but rather the keys to happiness. Why are some people happier than others? What environmental change factors affect happness? This led me to formally study, teach and practice the tools learned from Positive Psychology. My work both in an out of the classroom, is helping my students and others empower themselves to live life better.
