Career Path: Library Science via Graduate School
Amy will be spending her summer with The Reading Institute based out of Wilmington, MA, teaching children in Northwest Arkansas. She has been accepted into San Jose State University Graduate School where she will be pursuing a career in library science. Her undergraduate major in English and minor in Political Science enabled her to land an internship as a rising senior, with For Love of Children through the TFAS program in Washington, DC. “Career Services helped me see what opportunities were available; especially the career profile in the CareerCorner each week.”

Career Path: WRP Intern
Alex interned at the McConnell Air Force Refueling Base in Wichita, Kansas. By participating in the Workforce Recruiting Program, geared towards students with disabilities, Alex was able to land a phone interview on-campus which led to a great Summer Intern position working in the Legal Department. “Career Services was instrumental in prepping me for this process, especially discovering my marketable strengths.”

Major: Health Science
Career Path: Graduate School in Athletic Training
Basketball Superstar, Bryanna has been accepted into the Athletic Training Program at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Her solid grades in Health Science enabled her to land in this highly competitive program. “Job Search class provides hands-on learning on a lot of important topics including resumes and cover letters. University of the Ozarks President Richard Dunsworth, J.D., has been elected to the board of directors for the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities (APCU).
University of the Ozarks awarded 87 bachelor’s degrees to graduating seniors during its 183rd Commencement ceremony, held May 13, on the campus mall.
One of the core values of University of the Ozarks is “the service of all of creation,” and that driving principle was on full display during a recent mission trip to El Salvador by the student organization Rotaract.
